Range Grill + Golf is a new concept in the Des Moines market. Range is located immediately off I-35/80 on Hickman Road, directly in front of LifeTime Fitness, the busiest health club in Iowa.
Range is a 9000 square foot stand alone building featuring an upscale American Grill & Bar with over 200 seats. Our menu features "Range fed" animals from beef to bison. We also feature seafood, poultry, flatbreads, salads, etc. In addition we have a full bar and outdoor patio that is connected directly to the main bar. We feature a premium cocktail menu and 24 beers on tap. Incorporated with the Restaurant and Bar are 6 indoor golf simulators that create a one of a kind business unique to Des Moines. (No golf management experience necessary).
The ideal candidate will have several years of management experience in a high volume ($2mil+) mid to upscale restaurant.
The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to oversees daily operations for front and back of the house. The Assistant General Manager's responsibilities include; training staff, inventory management, support to staff, creating a safe work environment and serving as a primary liaison between the Owners and the restaurant. The Assistant General Manager implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which assists the restaurant staff in achieving a standard of guest service that meet or exceed the company established standards of guest satisfaction. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for enforcing and maintaining all policies and procedures and ensuring that the restaurant and its staff are adhering to such.
· Overall responsibility for a full service restaurant
· Assure extraordinary customer service experience by implementing and training 21 step program to assure consistency amongst all staff
· Manage and schedule staff of 40+ employees
· Ensure policies & procedures are upheld
· Ensure facility cleanliness, general upkeep, and maintenance schedules
· Create sales programs to increase revenue
· Strong understanding of local community and utilize this knowledge to affectively market Range
· Inventory control; including ordering, audits, and controlling spoilage.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Must have high volume experience of at least $2 million or above
· You must have worked as a salaried Manager for at least 2 years
· You must be at least 21 years old.
· You must have full flexibility with your schedule.
· Good longevity in current and past positions.
