New England chapter of a national not-for-profit member organization seeks motivated in-house sales/marketing person to sell program sponsorships and exhibit booths at events throughout New England including trade shows, golf tournaments, awards banquet and various other seminars and events as well as display and classified advertising in monthly chapter publication.
Individual will work with management and chapter committee volunteers in the development of sponsorship and advertising opportunities from conception to implementation and sale. In addition, sponsorship/advertising sales manager will work with designers and printers to create and produce all marketing/sales brochures, press kits and related forms. Responsible for all sales including renewal of existing advertising/sponsorship contracts as well as prospecting for new sales on an ongoing basis via phone and email, at chapter events and committee meetings, industry trade shows, meetings with chapter members and prospective members, and other outreach.
Chapter members from around New England include condominium association board members, professional property managers and the vendors, professionals and service providers who work with them.
Experience with print media including magazine advertising as well as digital and online media preferred. Experience with not-for-profit organizations, working with volunteers and sponsorship fundraising helpful. Individual must be goal driven and will be responsible to meet monthly advertising and program sponsorship budgets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel required. Familiarity with database software systems and ConstantContact preferred. Ability to identify, prospect and close advertising and non-dues revenue sales essential. Experience creating marketing/sales plans and developing advertising/sponsorship opportunities from conceptual stage through implementation and sale helpful.
Small office environment requires working from chapter office in Wellesley, MA during business hours and attending programs, events, and various other committee and sales meetings throughout New England. This is a full-time, in house position with some paid travel throughout New England.
